115th Anniversary What Matters Most

About the What Matters Most Event

Since 1906, Neighborhood House has worked tirelessly to fulfill the dreams of our founders, “tikkun olam”, or repair the world. The What Matters Most annual event brings together over 500 of our region’s business leaders, elected officials, and community members with the shared mission of building community and increasing access to housing, health, education, and economic opportunity.

MC: KUOW Host Angela King

Keynote Speaker: King County Councilmember Girmay Zahilay

King County Councilmember Girmay Zahilay is the son of Ethiopian refugees the first in his family to attend high school or college, and a product of South Seattle Housing projects and public schools. He is an attorney, non-profit founder, and organizer. His life experiences have shaped his desire to pursue service and fight for our poor and working class neighbors. He will share his incredible journey with us as our keynote speaker!

The event is free to attend, with an opportunity to make a donation. Connect, learn, and invest in “What Matters Most” to our community. Together we can reach our vision of a healthy, diverse, and welcoming community, free of poverty and racism, where all people thrive.
